Devi's Favorite Tools and Gear

Whether you're already teaching yoga online or are considering starting, here's my list of tried-and-true gear and tools to do it right – from my favorite wireless lavalier microphone, camera and lights, to my chosen platforms for yoga courses and membership site.

I experiment with what works and what doesn’t and report back here with tools to help you create a profitable online yoga career you absolutely love.

Many of these links are affiliate links, which means I may get a commission if you purchase. However, I only recommend resources I truly believe are worth my stamp of approval, and the fees are never increased to compensate me.

Rode Wireless Go II Dual Channel

Best lavalier microphone for online yoga teachers

$252 USD

While this lavalier mic is considered prosumer rather than professional level, it still gets my highest recommendation after comparing it with more professional options. Read my full comparison review of Rode Wireless Go II vs a professional $1,000+ Sennheiser G4 Wireless Lavalier Setup.

Neewer Video Light Kit

Best Lights for Teaching Yoga Online

These are the lights I use and love. They can be dimmed or brightened and you can adjust the color from warm to cool, or anywhere in between. They also pack up pretty small into a nice bag (included) for storage or traveling.

Course Platform and Online Business Package

$119/mo and up

Kajabi is the one-stop platform I use for my website, yoga courses, email outreach and private coaching. It offers tools for marketing and selling my services and comes with a large community of solopreneurs who support and inspire one another. One reason I'm such a Kajabi enthusiast is because of how much money I save by not having so many separate tools, since I get everything I need in one simple package. Get a 30-day free trial using my discount link. (Usually the trial is only 14 days).

What's more – if you use this link to start your trial you'll also get a free one-hour Zoom strategy session with me.

Video Streaming & Subscription Platform

$99/mo USD and up

I also use Uscreen to host my online yoga studio. This streamlined platform was created with yoga and fitness teachers in mind using a Netflix-style approach with an excellent built-in monthly membership engine. While Kajabi also features a membership option, I've found that Uscreen's design is easier for me to use and is also more effective for converting visitors into subscribers. Click here to start a free 14-day trial to Uscreen.

Canva Pro

Graphic Design & Marketing

USD $12.99/mo and up

Canva is the online graphic design tool that I use every day I work. It actually makes it fun to create social media posts, presentations, posters, videos, logos and more. I've used it to create all the thumbnails on my yoga videos. The Pro version is well worth the low monthly cost, but there's also a free plan.
